Project: IKUM: Drying Temple
Client: The Museum of Contemporary Art Roskilde
Artist: Tabita Rezaire and Yussef Agbo-Ola
Date: 2024
Description:
Artist Tabita Rezaire and artist-architect Yussef Agbo-Ola had created and designed an outdoor work for The Museum of Contemporary Art Roskilde. The producer of the museum, Ragna Solbergnes came to us with the complete architectural file that was created by the artists. Only minor modifications had to be made in order for the piece to be adapted to the context. The work consisted of a 10,5x5x4m wooden structure on which were stretched colorful textile pieces. The A.I.E team took care of the fabrication of the wooden structure and the complete installation of the work. The use of ground screws allowed for the work to have very little impact on its environment. During the exhibition period, the public was engaged in collecting plants and drying them inside the structure.
Client feedback:
"Georges and his team built the installations with ease, professionalism, efficiency and a cross-disciplinary know-how essential for the finish a fine arts exhibition needs" Ragna Solbergnes
